Socks of the month -- part 2

And then there is the gorgeous Catterpillar from Opal
(the Rainforest-collection), the wool was "donated" by Annette/Wollsocke, it's from one of the Opal-packages.

With a lacy pattern, that gives some structure to the sock,
it looks even more like a catterpillar.

Size 39/40, these are for me, myself and i!

And this is just absolutely amazing and wonderful: Karin spoiled me with some of that fabulous, lucious Wollmeise-wool called "Dornröschen" (Sleeping Beauty). Thank you once again, sweetie! I decided to honour this great yarn with that fabulous Berlinsocking-pattern from Kristin. And voila.......it was the right decision! I just love this wool, it was such a joy to knit with. In fact it knitted up just like cotton, but the "burn-test" (hold a little piece of the yarn over a burning candle, if it is real wool it will burn and stink like hair does when burned) revealed that this is a HIGH-QUALITY wool. Gorgeous stuff!

And last, but not least:
Some sockies for my youngest daughter Cynthia, knit with handpainted wool from Kirsten from www.handgefaerbt.com
Can you see, how happy Cynthia is? First of all she gave the socks a tour through the house and then she put them on, at least i could get her to have some photos taken....*giggle*
