Many Twilight fans have fallen in love with these mittens and subliminalrabbit
(subliminalrabbit: bella's mittens)
came up with a pattern for us knitters to make them.

What a great and also free pattern and a great knit!
The only thing I have changed: I worked the palm side of the hands in moss-stitch.

And hey, why should I pay a freaking 80$ just for mittens,
which I can knit myself and also have some fun time knitting them up?
Plus:
I am making my twilight-mad daughter Donna very very happy
and once again I get the "Cool Mom" attribute *lol*!

I love love love these mittens, they are very cozy and very warm!
(but they are, as said, not for me....*pout*)

Now off I go to knit some up for daughter no. 2…gg

I used Wolle Rödel Maxi (50% superwash merino and 50% acrylic, bulky-weight)
and size 5 mm needles. One mittens knits up in about 4 hours.

Grandma's Kitchen Oven hanger...

What fun, it's a great pattern and I love love love knitting it up.

Leila, die Liebliche von Augsburg, hat soeben das Licht der Welt erblickt und sie ist eine wunderhübsche und süße Schäfin und freut sich schon sehr auf ihr eigenes Kindergartenkind.
(das hat sie mir ins Ohr geflüstert, als ihr Mündchen entstanden war!)
Aber Vorsicht, Leila ist eine kleine Diva und kann auch mal etwas hochnäsig sein...*grins*

So nun aber genug der Worte, Zeit für ein paar ausdrucksstarke Bilder:

Schon bald...

...wird im Hause Mathews ein Schaf geboren werden.
Es dauert nicht mehr lange!

Das Schaf wird dann auch schon bald ausziehen in die weite Welt,
nämlich zu einem lieben Kindergartenkind in Doreens Heimatort.
Es wird noch ein Geschwisterchen bekommen, soviel darf ich schon verraten. :-))

Anmerkung d. Red.:
Ich bin furchtbar stolz auf mich, daß ich nun auch so ein Schaf gestrickt habe.
Vor allem über das Gesicht bin ich sehr glücklich, da ich im Nähen und Sticken eine absolute Niete bin. Aber es ist mir gut gelungen, meine Älteste glücklich zu machen.

Meine anderen Beiden haben natürlich auch schon ein Schaf bestellt *grins*,
aber ich muss noch Material dafür besorgen......

Headbandmania

It all started with this Birthday-present for my daughter Donna's friend Olivia:

All Headbands were made with Sock yarn in Fingering weight and used up some of my scraps.
You really don't need much yarn to make such a Headband and it's a nice and quick knit!

Mother's Day should be Every Day!

And because I believe in what i am saying (Mother's Day should be every day of the year and not only on "Mother's Day"!!)
i knitted a washcloth for my Mum to show her how much I love her!

Some (hopefully) "fashionable" aka COOL Stuff for the Barbie-dolls of Cynthia.

I just figured, as clothing for that doll is so expensive, it would be a great gift to make some new stuff for her plus it uses up all that leftover yarns from sockknitting.
A Cocktail-dress is still in progress....oh and yes... a princess-outfit has been requested
