Isch 'abe färtisch! / I got them finished!

Mystery Garden Socks aka "Mary's Garden" Socks

Photobucket endlich endlich endlich fertig!

Photobucket finally finally finally finished!
This took a long time. I designed the socks and just couldn’t get myself to knit the second sock.
But now I had to get myself together and get this done…
I was so ashamed of myself…*lol*

Von den Nadeln gehüpft.... / Jumped off my needles:

....sind mir diese Socken für den Geburtstag meiner Jüngsten (28.08)!

"Simply Devine" Socken

heißen sie und das Muster habe ich schon auf Ravelry hochgeladen. (kostenlos)
Gestrickt sind sie aus "Mandelblüte" 4-fach von Ewas Sockenwolle.
Die Wolle hat sich supertoll verstrickt und es hat mir riesigen Spaß gemacht,
diese Socken zu stricken.

"Simply Devine" Socks
is the name of the pattern and I have uploaded the pattern to Ravelry already. (for free)
They are knitted with "Mandelblüte" 4-ply cotton sockwool from Ewas Sockenwolle
The yarn knitted up so nicely and it was much fun to knit these socks!

"Lost and Found" Socks with other yarn/ ... mit anderem Garn

Photobucket Just wanted to show you, that the "Lost and Found" pattern also works with non-solid-yarn.
I used some handpainted yarn from Pia
Unfortunately I ran out of yarn, so I can only show you half a sock.
And I made a short-row-heel, so you can see that this works too and also looks good.
Now you want to see the result, right?
Okay, here you go:

C.J.'s Zaubersocken with Pattern

for Cynthia
size: 33
wool: Zauberwiese

Pattern:
Cast on 52 stitches, join to round, divide onto 4 needles (13 stitches per needle)
knit one round

12 rounds cuff pattern: ktbl 1, purl 1

setup round: *knit4, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 4* this is one needle, repeat four times

1.round:
*knit 4, purl 1,
for the following 3 knit stitches do this:
pull 3rd stitch over stitches 1 and two, then knit stitch one, yo, knit stitch two.
purl 1, knit 4* repeat this on the other 3 needles

2. round:
*knit4, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 4* repeat around
3. round:
*knit4, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 4* repeat around
4.round:
*knit4, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 4* repeat around

Repeat rounds 1-4 until you have the leg-length you wish to have
then knit the heel on needles 1 and 4 (you choose your favorite heel)

For the foot just continue the pattern on needles 2 and 3
and knit needles 1 and 4 in stockinette until you have the correct foot length,
then choose your favorite way to do the toe and finish the sock.
Don't forget the second one :-))

If you do a larger sock (60 stitches) you will just have to add one stitch to every *knit 4* section => it will read like this then
set up round:
*knit5, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 5*
1rst round:
*knit 5, purl 1,
for the following 3 knit stitches do this:
pull 3rd stitch over stitches 1 and two, then knit stitch one, yo, knit stitch two.
purl 1, knit 5* repeat for the over 3 needles
2. round:
*knit5, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 5*
3. round:
*knit5, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 5*
4. round:
*knit5, purl 1, knit 3, purl 1, knit 5*

will add chart later!

Summer! socks

yarn: Regia Cotton Color

Rivendell socks

very nice pattern with great instructions by Janel Laidman
yarn: Lana Grossa Meilenweit
needles: Knitpicks Harmonywood 2,75 mm
size: 37
for: my Mum

Good for me, that Lana Grossa wool comes in 50 gram skeins.

So i could do this to avoid second sock syndrome (sss):
I knit the first sock until after the heel-turn, put them on other needles and started the second sock....then I just finished the second sock and then I returned to sock no 1 and finished that.

Gracious Socks Pattern Review

I just wanted to share my thoughts about this pattern:

Gracious Socks

I purchased the pattern from the designer Terry L. Ross,

because I fell in love with it at first sight.

And I wasn't dissapointed!

Not only Terry provides a great chart as well as the written pattern,
she has also great instructions for the Toe-up construction.

The pattern is well written and very clear, easy to understand.

I have had lots of fun knitting the socks and am very happy about the great pattern.

I loved the clear instructions Terry gave for the gusset and the heel,
it was wonderful to knit this pattern
....
in fact I sailed right through them had a great knitting time!!

I must admit this:
Although I have already knitted quite a few toe-up-socks with a similar heel-construction (such as Widdershins and Beaudelaire) I never really knew what I was doing I was just following the instructions.

But with this pattern I finally "grasped" what I was doing and I am so happy about that!
And I am loving the socks that I have made, they fit perfectly....

My big thanks goes to Terry for providing this great pattern
and the super-duper-instructions it has.

I loved the pattern and this will not be the last time I have knitted these fabulous socks!

Goodness....Gracious (-socks)

A wonderful toe-up pattern with fine instructions and great advice....I am loving it so far!

I really really love the heel,
it's similar to the beaudelaire- and widdershins-heel and it fits just perfectly!!

The Mingus-socks are finished since "yesternight" and Donna has them already on her feet.
Here's how a happy "nearly"-teenager looks like:

Das muss ich Euch zeigen: / I have to show you this:

Photobucket Mingus-Socken, der Erste, für meine Tochter Donna.

Das Muster ist von Cookie A., die berühmte Designerin der heißgeliebten Pomatomus-Socken.
Es ist definitiv kein "No-brainer", also man muss sich beim Stricken schon konzentrieren,
aber das mag ich ja!
Super Muster = Super Socken! Einfach cool!
*grins*

Garn: irgendeine Sockenwolle aus dem Vorrat
Nadeln: 2,5 mm
Größe: 40/41

Photobucket Mingus-socks, the first one, for my daughter Donna.
The pattern is from Cookie A., the famous designer of the beloved Pomatomus-sock.

This pattern is definitely not a "No-brainer", which means you really have to concentrate while knitting it, but that's just the way I like it!
Superb pattern = Superb socks! Just cool!
Donna picked the pattern and when she tried them on (with Photoshoot) she said this:
" There you are, I have a great taste!" *lol*

yarn: some sockyarn out of my stash
needles: 2.5 mm dpns
size: 40/41
