Nochmal, nochmal..../Again, again....

Made out of the sockwool i got from my parents for "Nikolaus"-day last year:

And again, some socks for me.
Hey this is really starting to be fun....
These socks are my favorites so far, i love the way the colors blend and the way is has been dyed.
I got the wool from ebay, just did a search for "Sockenwolle handgefärbt".
The wool is a 4-ply Sockyarn, but seemed to be a little thicker and rougher than normal superwash sockwool.
But it was so nice to knit it and they are lovely and warm and soft on the feet. The roughness i experienced while knitting is completely gone.
I also added an asymetrical cable on the outer side of the sock , which adds a little "landhouse-style" to them.

Und schon wieder, ein Paar Socken für mich!
Hey, das fängt an mir Spaß zu machen...
Diese Socken sind bis jetzt meine Allerliebsten, mir gefällt einfach der Farbverlauf und wie gut sie gefärbt wurden. Ich habe die Wolle bei ebay gefunden, habe nach "Sockenwolle handgefärbt" gesucht.
Die Wolle ist eine 4-fach Sockenwolle, aber sie erschien mir etwas dicker und rauher als normale Superwash-Sockenwolle. Aber es war schön sie zu verstricken und sie sind wunderbar und weich an den Füßen. Die Rauhheit, die ich beim Stricken verspürte ist jetzt ganz weg.
Ich habe auch einen asymetrischen Zopf an die Außenseite gestrickt, was einen Hauch von Landhaus-Stil bewirkt.

Socks for me!!!!

Yeah, you've read right....
i really made it and finished some socks for "me, myself and i"....
i am sooo proud of myself...lol....
normaly I turn them into a smaller size for my daughter Donna or my Mum and again i am left without socks.
This time i just had to fight my "inner pig" and knit these socks with the wool from Eve. She gave the wool to me as a gift and i just knew it would not be right to "waste" use the yarn for someone else than me. The socks turned out fabulous and the wool is so soft, this was a clever decision I think.

ich hab mir selbst ein Paar Socken gestrickt...ich bin soooo stolz auf mich.
Normalerweise geht es ja immer so: Ich fange an für mich zu stricken, dann kommt entweder Donna oder meine Mama und finden die sooo toll, ich ändere die Socke in eine kleinere Größe und stehe schon wieder ohne Socken da.
Aber dieses Mal habe ich wirklich gegen meinen inneren Schweinehund angekämpft und diese Socken mit der Wolle, die Eve mir geschenkt hat, fertiggestrickt. Ich wusste einfach, daß es nicht in Ordnung wäre diese Wolle für jemanden anderen zu "verschwenden" zu benutzen.
Die Socken sind toll und die Wolle sehr weich...eine kluge Entscheidung also!

Sunhunting.../Sonnenjagd...

..since weather is so bad and the sun is really hiding from us this spring, i knitted some sunhunting-socks, they are for a friend of mine...she has been chosen to be my "Sneaker-Surprise-Swap-Spoilee". I combined the handdied from Eve with some yellow Regia-Wool and I just love them.....i want to keep them, but they are not my size...*whine*:
Maybe i'll get the sun out by imitating her?

....weil das Wetter so schlecht ist und die Sonne sich wirklich vor uns versteckt in diesem Frühling, habe ich "Sonnenjagd"-Socken gestrickt, sie sind für eine Freundin von mir...die ausgewählt wurde mein "Sneaker-Wichteln"-Wichtelkind zu sein. I habe die handgefärbte von Eve mit gelber Regia-Wolle kombiniert und mir gefallen sie sehr gut.... ich möchte sie gerne behalten, aber sie sind nicht in meiner Größe....*heul*:
Vielleicht läßt sich die Sonne ja durch ihre Imitation locken?
