Die verstrickte Dienstagsfrage - Woche 35/2007

Welche Fersenform bei Socken bevorzugst du und warum ausgerechnet diese?


Tja nun, es gab Zeiten da habe ich die "normale" Ferse gestrickt, dann bin ich auf die Jojo- oder auch Bumerangferse umgestiegen (auch deshalb weil es toe-up einfach besser funktioniert....grins). Marianne hat mir dann die Herzchenferse erklärt, die war einfach und schön und so strickte ich fortan wieder cuff-down und blieb ich bei IHR (der Ferse, nicht der Marianne....hihihihi).
Ganz angetan bin ich aber von der neuen "toe-up" ferse, die bei den Widdershins oder auch bei den Baudelaire-socken benutzt wird. Sie sitzt auch genauso schön und bequem wie die Herz-Ferse. Gefällt mir und freut mich sehr!

Von Danielle habe ich mir abgeguckt (ja, ich habe die Socken von ihr "studiert" und analysiert...*gacker*) die beiden Mittleren Maschen der Fersenwand links zu stricken, erstens markiert man sich damit die Mitte der Fersenwand und zweitens funktioniert das dann wie eine Dehnungsfuge und die Ferse sitzt dann noch besser.
Haben übrigens alle meine "Strickopfer" bis jetzt bestätigt, daß das wirklich so ist mit der Paßform und so...jawohl!

Today is my youngest daughter Cynthia Judene's (C.J.) Birthday.

She turned 8 today. Eight already?

...oh sheesh, time flew so fast this last year...

i think i'm getting old.



What to say?


My youngest has grown up to be an awesome young lady: She is empathetic (well she alway was..but i tell you it is growing),
lovable, sometimes crazy and nerve-wracking, but yet very sweet.


She has gained lots and lots of friends this last year
and is always on the road, never much at home.


Although she still has to learn where her borders are and just how far she can push.....she is learning how to behave well and adapting to community-rules.


Now what more:


I am always amazed how much love this kid has for others and how her ability to share (whatever she owns or gains or gets as a gift) still seems to grow.


Also i am in awe how much joy and happiness she gets just out of the tiniest present.

You could give her a lollipop and she would hug you and kiss you and let you know that you are " the very best"....that's my Cynthia!
I just hope she never looses that, i think it is a great gift to be happy over the "little" things and being able to show it!


Cynthia, believe in yourself always and stay put on that road your on!

Some (hopefully) "fashionable" aka COOL Stuff for the Barbie-dolls of Cynthia.

I just figured, as clothing for that doll is so expensive, it would be a great gift to make some new stuff for her plus it uses up all that leftover yarns from sockknitting.
A Cocktail-dress is still in progress....oh and yes... a princess-outfit has been requested
